Respect Habitats - Preserve Nature

Behind every big star, there's a star-maker who propelled their rise to fame. So was FIRST SIGHT Partner and former Berlin Zoo's CEO Dr. Gerald R. Uhlich to KNUT, the world's most famous polar bear.

It was Dr. Uhlich who positioned the orphaned cub as mascot for the global movement against climate change. FIRST SIGHT not only promotes an Initiative on Respect Habitats - Preserve Nature but is doing research on the new idea and Economic Theory, which has its roots in a new concept of ecological ethics.

Our planet is not only habitat but largely used to achieve economic profit. Human beings, animals and plants need to exist together in these areas.

A vast number of issues arise from this with unexpectable implications and numerous interrelations, not allowing one persistent and generic point of view.

Uprooting of the rainforests, over fishing of the oceans, environmental pollution and global warming do have numerous reasons that need to be taken into account.

Global warming is mainly a natural phenomenon. It also happened in the past. But global warming now is too fast. The Biodiversity on our planet is in danger. Evolution needs more time. Humans are responsible now, not nature. The problem arises due to the economic behavior of people in all countries all over the world. Some economies are developed, other are not. People in all economies should have the same rights on a wealthy live. Therefore the solution of problems with global warming and threatened habits can only be found in an economic mechanism.

FIRST SIGHT is committed with its work to a general, long term, consistent and last but not least a respectful caring of the habitats and economic areas of our planet.

FIRST SIGHT is committed to a sustainable and enduring preservation of the biological diversity via protection and breeding of threatened species „in situ“ and „ex situ“.

Information and education on the topic of global warming and the destruction of habitats as well as the scientific exploration of related questions shall be promoted extensively.

FIRST SIGHT developed a branding strategy, but only for brands and services, that support the objective of preserving the planet or are willing to spend money on that issue.

FIRST SIGHT develops Labels, Logos and a Licensing Concept for Countries and/or Organizations.
